We're actively seeking a Business Manager - Woolworths New Zealand to join our team based in our Head office Newmarket. This role involves owning the relationship and optimising the joint strategy with a key strategic partner for Tegel Foods. This position empowers you to nurture existing and build new relationships as the customer strategies evolve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and enhance the relationship with a key strategic partner.
  • Taking into consideration the Woolworths strategy, develop and implement a robust plan (derived from company strategic plan and tactical market/category plans) to deliver agreed growth targets.
  • Provide accurate forecasting to ensure business is aware of account expectation, with ability to deliver on account growth strategy.
  • Measure portfolio business drivers weekly acting with urgency on issues and building opportunities into forward plans.
  • Identifying customer specific growth opportunities that are aligned with commercial strategy
  • Partnering with Woolworths on private label opportunities and managing process with internal stakeholders
  • Effective leadership and development of your team to ensure they have the right skills and capabilities to do their job effectively, enabling a high performing team.
  • Ensures delivery of sales plan by working collaboratively with internal teams - Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Supply & others

The ideal candidate:

  • At least 5+ years' experience in sales management roles
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline e.g., business management.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally.
  • Strong Trade Negotiation skills
  • Takes ownership and proactively seeks resolutions to any issues.
